The World Rowing Senior & Junior Championships August 2012 is an annual international rowing regatta organised by FISA (the International Rowing Federation).
The first FISA Youth Regatta was held in 1967 and has been held every year since then, being raised to the status of FISA Junior Championships in 1970 and Junior World Championships in 1985. Initially only for men, women were included eight years later following on the heels of women’s rowing being added to the Olympic Games in 1976.

The Olympic and Paralymic Rowing events will be held at Dorney Lake at the Eton College Rowing Centre. Access to this event will be from Windsor Racecourse which is just 1.5 miles from the Best Western Royal Adelaide Hotel, making it the perfect place to stay during the London Olympics.

Founded in 1943, the Royal Windsor Horse Show was a welcome distraction from the war, attended by King George VI. Today, the Royal Horse Show maintains its strong connection with the Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh have each previously competed and the Queen still often enters her own horses for the event. For only the second time in its history, The Royal Windsor Horse Show '11 in London will be taking place inside the private grounds of Windsor Castle - a striking area of garden and parks.
Events include show-jumping, carriage racing, dressage and polo and attract the A-Z of British aristocracy to compete or simply to watch. In the evening, Windsor castle will be floodlit, creating a wonderfully grandiose backdrop to the competition. Events at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in London finish in style with a superb firework display above the castle's turrets.
